An Offering of Dhamma Practice

A message from a few of Luang Por Anan’s disciples:

On the 31st of March is Luang Por’s 68th birthday. In gratitude for all the wise guidance and encouragement he has compassionately given us, and the goodness that this has brought to our lives, we would like to make an offering to our teacher. As the Buddha said that there is no higher way of paying homage than through one’s practice of the Dhamma, we thought we would do just that. And we would like to invite you to join us.

If you wish, you may take up an extra Dhamma practice on top of what you normally do—giving up drinking, attending the retreat, keeping the eight precepts once a week, chanting itipiso 108 times or meditating for an extra 30 minutes a day, for example. These practices could go from now until the end of the month, or you could extend them on for longer as well. Then, if you wish, you may dedicate the merit of these wholesome deeds to Luang Por’s good health, long life and ease of abiding, so that he may support the Buddha Sāsanā for years to come and share the Dhamma with many.

Below is a form that you can fill out, the results of which will be displayed below, so that others may gain inspiration from you and find joy in your goodness. No names will be displayed publicly, but if you wish to enter your name, Luang Por will be able to see it later.

We will gather all these offerings together, translate them into Thai, and present them to Luang Por on his birthday.

If you would like your dedication to be included in the birthday offering, please send it through before the 30th of March. You may still submit them after this, however, and we will collect and send them to Luang Por as they come in.

Wishing you happiness and peace.
