 <\/p>\nY<\/span>ou are warmly invited to join us for this retreat, whether you attend in person at the monastery or online from your own home. Each day will include meditation, chanting, and Dhamma teachings from Ajahn Anan and other members of the Sangha. The meditation sessions will be led by the monks at Wat Marp Jan and you will also be practicing alongside good friends from around the world.<\/p>\n

Many have found that this shared commitment, whether in person or online, gives them inner strength, helping them meditate longer and persevere through difficulties.<\/p>\n

This is a good opportunity to sincerely cultivate the Noble Path from wherever you are, developing mindfulness, sam\u0101dhi, clarity, and wisdom\u2014steadily lightening your burdens and moving ever closer to Nibb\u0101na.<\/p>\n

Those coming in person are expected to join for the entire retreat, however for those online, if your circumstances do not allow, you may also drop in whenever you are able.<\/p>\n

About Ajahn Anan (Phra Rajvajiranyan)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Venerable Ajahn Anan Aki\u00f1cano took ordination under Venerable Ajahn Chah in 1975 at the age of 22. He spent his early years as a monk living with his teacher, attending on him and receiving his wise guidance.<\/p>\n

In 1984, Ajahn Anan established his own branch monastery, Wat Marp Jan, in the east of Thailand. Starting off with nine monks, the community has now grown to around 50. His compassionate presence and diverse teaching approach has attracted students from all over the world.<\/p>\n

Ajahn Anan’s teachings emphasise being aware in the present moment, establishing our hearts in kindness, finding inner peace, and reflecting on the nature of our bodies, minds and lives.<\/p>\n

You are invited to register to enable the compilation of participants profile for Ajahn Anan and for further communication should there be any changes.<\/p>\n

This online retreat is suitable for those who are able to commit to the entire schedule as it is a full and comprehensive retreat. Ajahn Anan has also kindly made the retreat open to those who can only join in for parts due to other commitments such as work or family, or time-zone differences, so that all who have the faith and energy to join may still benefit.
