You are invited to join us for the Feb 2023 retreat with Ajahn Anan. It is open for you to come to Wat Marp Jan, Thailand and participate in the monastery. You may also join in online from home.
During this week, Ajahn Anan and the monastic sangha will guide us on the Buddha’s path of developing a heart of goodness & peace, clarity & wisdom that leads us to shedding suffering and realising true happiness.
About Ajahn Anan (Phra Rajvajiranyan)
Venerable Ajahn Anan Akiñcano took ordination under Venerable Ajahn Chah in 1975 at the age of 22. He spent his early years as a monk living with his teacher, attending on him and receiving his wise guidance.
In 1984, Ajahn Anan established his own branch monastery, Wat Marp Jan, in the east of Thailand. Starting off with nine monks, the community has now grown to around 50. His compassionate presence and diverse teaching approach has attracted students from all over the world.
Ajahn Anan’s teachings emphasise being aware in the present moment, establishing our hearts in kindness, finding inner peace, and reflecting on the nature of our bodies, minds and lives.
To attend the retreat at Wat Marp Jan, please go to this site. There you will find more detailed information like the daily routine and travel details. You may register via the link provided and the organisers will get back to you shortly.

The online retreat is suitable for those who are able to commit to the entire schedule as it is a full and comprehensive retreat. Ajahn Anan has also kindly made the retreat open to those who can only join in for parts due to other commitments such as work or family, or time-zone differences, so that all who have the faith and energy to join may still benefit.
More details of the online retreat will be posted to this website in early Jan 2023, however it will likely follow a similar format to this online retreat: Online retreat Dec 2022
